TOKYOCLEAN-UP ACTION KEEP TOKYO CLEAN

"TOKYO CLEAN-UP ACTION" is an initiative to keep Tokyo clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone who lives in or visits the city. Through greater awareness and small everyday actions, we can all play a part in caring for Tokyo.
Together with municipalities and a wide range of organizations, we promote responsible habits such as taking your waste home and not littering. We also support community clean-up activities and the installation of recycling facilities, including smart bins.

This website is your gateway to initiatives and events that help keep Tokyo clean. Every small action makes a difference. Take the first step and help Keep Tokyo Clean.

What can we do in everyday life?

When heading out, carry your own reusable bag and water bottle to reduce waste. When walking around town, sort and dispose of any trash properly. If you can't find a trash can nearby, take your rubbish home instead of littering. You can also participate in local community clean-up activities, such as litter-picking events. Every small action adds up to help keep Tokyo's streets clean and beautiful.
